Youth Worker
Gold Coast, QLD – Brisbane, QLD – This casual Youth Worker position is based in our crisis accommodation shelter and will include overnight and weekend work. We are looking for workers in a Relief capacity who are able to work both on call and rostered shifts. General Tasks: Provide supervision of young people accommodated by the service, encouraging their observance of service expectations and active participation in shelter activities and household tasks. Maintain a safe and stabilising environment through Risk Management, Crisis Management and Early Intervention ensuring that other staff are informed of potential risks and processes to manage these risks. Be responsible for the assessment and intake of young people referred to the Service (including the use of the QHIP database as provided by the Department of Housing and Public Works) and the exit of residents where required.
